Recent s-au anunțat patru nume românești pe cer.

Patru asteroizi din centura principală au primit nume de români care au activitate în astronomie, persoane vii, în putere.

Asteroizii se numesc (711327) Ovidiuignat (Ignat Ovidiu), (750032) Jinca (Marcel Jinca), (750594) Cîrstea (Remus Cirstea) și (767321) Inceu (Victor Inceu).

Toți asteroizii au fost descoperiți în cadrul programului EURONEAR.

Ovidiu Ignat (b. 1973) is the manager of the Astronomical Sciences Museum in Baia
Mare, Romania. He has directed the Planetarium since 1997 and is involved in many
outreach activities. Ovidiu teaches and evaluates expertise in Erasmus projects and
astronomy Olympiads.

(750032) Jinca = 2014 QB375

Marcel Jinca (b. 1968) is a Romanian amateur astronomer. Since 2009 he has led the
Gorj county branch of the Romanian Society for Meteors and Astronomy. Marcel does
public outreach in schools, museums and summer camps. He publishes an astronomical
yearbook, books and training pupils for astronomy Olympiad.

(750594) Cîrstea = 2014 WD178

Remus Cîrstea (b. 1969) is a Romanian TV-Multimedia lecturer at the University
Politehnica Bucharest, former museograph and TV producer. He installed 14 digital
planetaria in Romania, and founded an astronomical school observatory in Pitești.

Victor Inceu (b. 1983) is a Romanian amateur astronomer and IT operations manager.
A member of the Andromeda Astroclub, he is interested in making telescopes and
instruments, observations, asteroid detection and tracking of NEOs. A collaborator in three
EURONEAR projects, Victor contributed to recovery and data mining, detecting several
NEAs.
